How to Use & Navigate

tHE u.s. WITH VERDE

On this site, you will find many of the resource we will be using this year:

Content Resources

Anything related to helping you learn and understand the content of the course can be found here, as well as the assignments to help you organize this content. This page includes graphic organizers, readings, overview videos, detailed videos, and slide presentations.

skill & Writing Resources

If you've taken any of the other AP social studies courses before, you will be familiar with the type of skills and writing you will be practicing in this course, and ultimately, performing on the APUSH exam. We will be building the skills for each of these types of free response questions for the course of the year.

Office Hours & Contact

Office hours are based on the SAS Kendall schedule, but are modified week-to-week depending on meetings, events, and overall schedule changes. Office hours will be posted on the weekly Schoology updates. Group tutoring, small group sessions that focus on a specific set of skills and/or content, will be scheduled on a once-a-week basis based on students' college schedules. Additional group tutoring times will be added on an as-needed basis. Some students will be required to attend group tutoring, based on their grades and class average. All other SAS Kendall tutoring times are open for you to discuss any and all academic and personal concerns with me.

This page will provide additional information with regards to office hours.

Parents can contact me via the Google Form on this page, via email (dverde@verdehistory.com), or Google Voice (786-540-3032). Please allow 24 hours for a response.

Students can contact me via Schoology messages only. This is to ensure that questions pertaining to assignments or grades be attended to in as timely a manner as possible.
